...Hey its been a while!

Hey!
Its been forever since I last posted but here is a new song I made that I really wanted you to hear!

The song is called 'Gravity's A Lie'  And the vocals were done by my friend Laura Ascher!

The song is a little allegorical but the main idea behind it is that the weight that keeps us down from were we want to be is sometimes just an illusion. ..Enjoy!

Hammers Vs. Paint burshes!

Hey,

I was thinking the other day that alot of people restrict the definition of "Creative" to mean creating new colorful ideas,
....but the idea of being creative should be expanded to include anyone with a God given desire to create

To me, I think a carpenter is more creative then someone who has an original thought now and then.

From my perspective there are two differnt sides to the universe, Those who build up and those who tear down, and there is no middle ground! ...Some people think that by doing nothing they become natural, but if you are not improving then you are declining!

So go out and do something awesome! Make something new! I don't care what it is, but what ever you do, don't do nothing!!!!!

...A Song I wrote last night...

....This is a song I wrote yesterday afternoon, and I produced it (Recoded it and stuff) last night... and I just found time to upload it today. :) ...its really short... like the shortest song I've ever written, ...I might make an extended version with a longer intro, but I like it the way it is ;)

annnnnddd...also...
The name of the song is almost a mixture between a metaphor and a memory, so if it doesn't seem to fit that is okay ;)

Enjoy! ...and, dont forget to comment!

Midnight Flight

This is a song I wrote on the piano. I produced it using "FL Studio 10" on the same day as my oral surgery. I was really relaxed (from the anesthesia) with nothing  to do all day except music. Enjoy :)

BRIGHT NIGHT: 24 Hour Song

BRIGHT NIGHT: 24 Hour Song

This is the first song I wrote and recorded/produced in less than 24 hours.

Monday night I didn't feel like falling asleep, so I got out my keyboard and started playing random stuff. I ended up playing something I liked and worked with it until I decided to go to bed. By the time I woke up the next day I had written this song. Then I spent all of Thursday working on recording it, and by the end of the day I had finished it.

So from the time I started (approx. 10:00pm) until the time I finished it (9:30pm) it  took me about 231/2 hours, less then 24 hours!

....Here's the song I hope you like it.

The Red Girl

This picture wasn't a very serious art project but it resulted in a personal discovery in art theory. When painting this picture I had the painting "Glow" in the back of my mind. There was something in particular about "glow" that I liked, but I wasn't sure what. After finishing this picture I figured out what. It's something I call the Red Affect although it applies to all color.

The Red Affect:

Red is the most intense color there is. More than any other color red is painful to look directly at. (Try changing you desktop wallpaper to a solid red and you will know what I mean) The problem is that when you want to add red to a picture you automatically make it painful to look at. To solve this problem I started with an white object (her face) and surrounded it with red. What happens is that even though your eye is looking at white it absorbs the red around it. In the picture "Glow" The girls face (which was almost white) was surrounded by tons of color so when you looked at her face you also absorb the color around it.

Contrast:
While I was thinking about "The red affect" I saw a cardinal. It was then I realized the concept works backwards too.

Conclusion:
As a general rule you cannot have an intense color without a place for your eyes to rest.
